Tuesday (23/05/2023), the Head of Widyatama University (UTama) paid a visit to Universiti Teknologi Mara, Cawangan Perak Malaysia. The visit, which was warmly welcomed by the UiTM rectorate, was to discuss cooperation between UTama and UiTM. This heated discussion related to cooperation between two universities from two different countries had previously been initiated through the signing of a Letter of Intent containing an agreement for cooperation, when UiTM leaders visited the UTama campus in Bandung, on March 2, 2023.

The discussion activity continued with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between UTama and UiTM officially. The Memorandum of Understanding or MoU document was directly signed by the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum accompanied by the Vice Rector for Tri Dharma of Higher Education and Student Affairs, Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Si., A.K., C.A and the Rector of Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Hisham Ibrahim.

With the signing, the two rectors expressed hope that this collaboration could be utilized optimally by faculties and units from both parties. Thus, it is expected that there will be many real cooperation implementations, especially in the fields of Education, Research, and Community Service and Institutional Development.
