On Tuesday (16/05), Widyatama University visited Siliwangi University represented by the Chairman of Siliwangi University, Dr. Ir. Nundang Busaeri, M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng. and Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Siliwangi University, Prof. Dr. Dedi Kusmayadi, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., CRA., CRP., CPA., and his staff. The purpose and purpose of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Widyatama University and Siliwangi University.

The event which took place in the Seminar Room Building B 6th Floor was attended by the Rector of Widyatama University, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda M. Hum., Vice Rector for Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Dr. R. Wedi Rusmawan Kusumah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., Vice Rector for Finance, HR & Facilities, Dr. Diana Sari, S.E., M.Si., Ak., Q.IA., CA., ACPA., faculty deans and other invited guests.

The agenda of activities that have been planned in advance produces evidence of an MoU or Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation related to student exchanges, lecturer exchanges, research collaborations, to Community Service (PkM) which is not only in the form of journal research but also in the form of community development in the entrepreneurial side.

Prof. Dr. Dadang as the Rector of Widyatama said that Widyatama had collaborated with several villages in Parongpong District, West Bandung Regency, West Java Province and he hoped that there would be cooperation between the academic community of Widyatama University and Siliwangi University to create activities whose orientation is entrepreneurship and community service programs.

In the discussion, the Rector of Siliwangi University said related to empowerment, they would focus on food security. The Rector of Widyatama University agreed to collaborate with Siliwangi University’s focus on food security and Widyatama University focusing on entrepreneurship.

Collaboration between Widyatama University which has received an Independent Cluster and Siliwangi University as a State University (PTN) to achieve a win-win solution through research grants, lecturer and/or student exchanges, recognition of linear competence, and how the works of lecturers are recognized by outside institutions, in this case Siliwangi University.

The Rector of Widyatama University also said that related to student development between Siliwangi University which has experience managing village by village and Widyatama University which has experience managing city by city can collaborate to create novelties. For example, in future community service in the excellence of the concept of city per city, city per village, village per village, city per city; Widyatama University can apply in the field of digitalization or its social system in the context of cities and research while the implementation of the environment and nature can be applied by Siliwangi University.
