Widyatama University D3 Multimedia Study Program has carried out online re-accreditation visitations in a continuous effort to improve service and education quality on Monday and Tuesday 8-9 February 2021 at the Faculty of Visual Communication Design, Widyatama University, Jl. Cikutra No.204A Bandung city. The implementation of this re-accreditation according to Deden Maulana, Drs., M.Ds, Dean of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design, Widyatama University (FDKV UTama) explained that this effort was made to improve the quality of education services.

 

“Not only the final value of the visitation results that will be achieved, but it will prioritize the quality of education services to the community, especially students who will enter the world of creative industry.” explained Deden, Tuesday (9/2/21). Deden further said that FDKV UTama, as a faculty in the field of science and professionalism in the field of visual communication design with a professional level (D3 and D4) is a level path that directs graduates to become true professionals / practitioners either as workers or entrepreneurs.

 

“The re-accreditation visitation activity under the supervision and control of BAN PT is certainly a reasonable guarantee as one of the provisions that can be followed by universities in general,” he said. Previously in 2020 the D4 Graphic Design Study Program was accredited A. One of the study programs that is in great demand, as a slang study program with various forms of visual creativity with meaningful messages.

 

while the D3 Multimedia Study Program is a study program that is also widely popular because of the trend in the digital era that will continue to improve, various programs and partnership activities to various institutions and industries will continue to be carried out in order to produce quality graduates accelerating in the hope that user absorption can be aligned according to business and industrial needs. In the academic year 2020/2021, FDKV UTama has consistently developed a vocational design education system, has designed and implemented a new curriculum that is adjusted to the policy of the Independent Campus – Merdeka Belajar.

“In addition, FDKV UTama has opened a new study program namely Film and Television with the D4 applied level. This will complement FDKV UTAMA to become a faculty that can answer the challenges of the creative industry’s needs towards a better future,” he concluded.
