Starting the Even Academic Year 2020/2021 The Center for Research and Community Service at the Widyatama University Bandung carried out the Village Development program activities to the Parongpong Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency, (25/2/2021). There are 7 assisted villages that will be the focus of the development with a focus on the independence of the community economically, socially and culturally in line with the Village Law No. 16 of 2014.

 

This program is an implementation of the roadmap for research and community service at Widyatama University as well as an embodiment of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program which is being promoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture recently. The villages are Karyawangi Village, Cihanjuang Village, Cihanjuang Rahayu Village, Cihideung Village, Ciwaruga Village, Cigugur Girang Village and Sariwangi Village. It has been observed that 3 villages will follow in the near future to other villages.

 

Among the program targets related to improving the community’s economy include building an integrated information system service sector based on DIGITAL DESA which will be in charge of the Faculty of Engineering (FT).

In the field of economics, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) develops patterned and structured Bumdes by training skilled and professional human resources. BUSINESS INCUBATOR program by implementing 10 business pillars to produce new profitable entrepreneurs.

The Language Faculty (FB) will launch the DESA LITERATION AND TOURISM program by providing empowerment and training, especially for youth youth groups so that they are aware that the potential of nature, arts, culture and human resources that they have can have economic value.

As for matters of increasing creativity and productivity, the Faculty of Visual Communication Design (FDKV) will be the spearhead as the guardian of how to advance goods and services into selling value. The program opens a DESIGN CLINIC, where people can consult and apply it, such as designing good packaging for MSMEs and targeting consumers.

The meeting which was held in the Ciwaruga Village Hall a few days ago has become a momentum for the progress of Parongpong District.

 

It was witnessed directly by the Head of Parongpong Sub-district, Drs.Iwan Mustawan Azis., M.Si, along with village officials who represented at the ongoing meeting, which brought a new atmosphere to compete competitively for business and service actors around the sub-district area.
