Bandung, November 23, 2024 – Universitas Widyatama Successfully Holds First Graduation Ceremony of Academic Year 2024/2025 A total of 1,018 graduates from various study programs were officially conferred their bachelor’s and associate degrees, marking their readiness to serve the community. The festive event held at Harris Convention Hall became a historic moment for both the graduates and the institution.

The graduates came from diverse study programs, including management, accounting, engineering, design, and cultural studies. This diversity reflects the varied backgrounds, interests, and talents of Universitas Widyatama’s graduates, who are prepared to excel in various fields.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Dadang Suganda, M.Hum, Rector of Universitas Widyatama, expressed pride in the achievements of the graduates. “Congratulations to all graduates. May the knowledge you have gained be beneficial to society, the nation, and the country,” he said. The Rector also extended his appreciation to the faculty and staff who played a crucial role in shaping outstanding generations.

Gina Indriani, S.Si., M.T., Chairperson of the Education Workforce Team of LLDIKTI Region IV, emphasized the importance of higher education in enhancing human resources. “The gross enrollment ratio for higher education is still below 40%. Therefore, today’s graduates should be grateful, and I hope Universitas Widyatama continues to improve its education quality,” she said.

Dr. Buky Wibawa Karya Guna, M.Si, Chairperson of the West Java Provincial Legislative Council and representative of the graduates’ parents, advised the graduates to keep learning and developing themselves. “Diversification or mastering various skills is the key. Build connections with people from diverse backgrounds,” he encouraged.

Proud Achievements

Universitas Widyatama also has much to be proud of, as many of its students have achieved both national and international recognition. Academically, 300 national awards and 30 international awards have been earned. Meanwhile, in non-academic fields, the university has achieved 51 national awards and 20 international awards.

Hopes for the Future

Andre Anderson, S.E., M.M., Chairman of Universitas Widyatama Alumni Association, expressed his hope that the graduates would uphold the good name of their alma mater. Annisa Nur Sadrina, S.Ak., representing the graduates, delivered a heartfelt speech thanking everyone who supported their academic journey.

The Universitas Widyatama graduation ceremony is not only a celebration of the graduates’ achievements but also a momentum for the university to continue enhancing education quality and producing outstanding and competitive graduates. With the knowledge and skills they have acquired, Universitas Widyatama graduates are expected to actively contribute to building the nation and the country.
